With eight straight wins for the Bulldogs and the Cowboys fresh from punishing the Tigers for their fourth win in five matches, fans will sure get their money's worth when these two red hot teams go head to head at ANZ Stadium.
Tonight on NRL Daily hosts John Gibbs and Brad Fittler preview the big match for the weekend ahead and consider the possibility that we could be watching a preview of the 2012 Telstra Premiership Grand Final.
“It will be interesting to see how the Dogs cope being skinny in the halves,” says Gibbs. “The Dogs should get up and make it nine in a row, the Cowboys have to deal with the short turnaround and the travel which will work against them.”
While he agrees the fans will be the big winners on the night, Fittler disagrees with Gibbsy’s prediction.
“I think the Cowboys will get up and Bowen will get the better of Barba,” says Fittler. "The Cowboys need to overcome their horrible away form if they are to be final contenders and I think it starts this week. I really hope they are main player come finals because they add such an interesting dynamic to the whole thing.”
